Who is Art Bully Productions and how do you operate?

Art Bully Productions has been in operation for 15 years, and we have contributed to over 50 shipped titles. We're a fully functional art outsourcing company providing full turnkey art development, which includes (Concept art, Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Skinning, Animation) to clients big and small. We employ over 130 highly skilled artists working full-time between our three studio locations.

As a quality driven company, we don't operate a massive factory-style outsourcing company. Instead, we function in leaner, more efficient strike teams that specialize in characters, creatures, weapons, vehicles, complex prop structures, and animation. This ranges from photo-realistic assets to highly stylized assets. We've created a number of these asset types for our clients. Some of them include Epic Games, Activision, Bethesda Games, 2k Games, Crystal Dynamics, Obsidian Entertainment, Gearbox Software, Hi-Rez Studios, and Frictional Games, to name a few.

Where are you located?

Art Bully Productions operates from three primary locations. Raleigh, North Carolina, Belgrade, Serbia, and Mohali, India.

What services do you provide?

We provide a full range of services that pertain to video-game, cinematic, and physical art assets. Our team of artists is very flexible and can work within your existing pipeline or help you establish a new one. We’ll also make sure that the quality and integrity of the art are maintained from concept to completion. In short, our goal is not just to meet but also to exceed your expectations.

  • Low poly modeling

  • High poly sub d modeling for both game and cinematic assets

  • High poly digital sculpting for normal / displacement map generation, 3d printing, and rapid prototyping

  • Texture: photo source or hand-painted

  • Target rendering for multimedia use

How do you handle art production management?

We operate a secure project management board that we use to document, preview, and review asset production from start to finish. We also incorporate Slack in our art management pipeline. It helps to ensure that communication remains clear, concise, and up to the minute!

How much do you charge?

As we all know, the requirements for art assets vary from game to game since no two project needs are exactly alike, and due to that, our rates are determined on a case-by-case basis. We understand a developer's needs when it comes to budgetary concerns and offer fair and competitive prices for our services. Feel free to send us an e-mail for a free price quote. 

What info should I send for a price quote? 

We recommend that you send us a brief e-mail describing your project and the art requirements. The clearer you are about what you need from us, the more accurate a quote we can give you. 

We would also recommend that you include specific information such as: 

  • Target platform (Xbox Series X, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, PC, other)

  • Estimated number of assets needed

  • The engine being used (UE4, UE5, Unity, CryEngine, Proprietary) etc.

  • Content-type; 3d, 2d, Animation, etc.

  • Asset specs and requirements

  • Provide concept art and or reference images

  • The desired time frame for completion
